New AI-enabled platform empowers teachers and education providers worldwide to instantly create and deliver AI literacy programs

LOS ANGELES, CA – September 25, 2025 – The DQ Institute today announced the global launch of Powered by DQ (PbDQ), a first-of-its-kind, AI-enabled platform that empowers any teacher or educational organization to create and deliver high-quality, customized AI literacy programs—even with no prior expertise.

As artificial intelligence rapidly transforms society, education systems are struggling to keep pace. Teachers often face confusion in classrooms, where AI tools are seen as too disruptive, and most lack the training or resources to teach AI literacy.

“Right now, some teachers see using AI as cheating,” says Seoyoon Morgan Kim, a 17-year-old student at Memorial High School in Texas, USA. “Banning AI isn’t the answer—we need effective ways to bring AI literacy into classrooms.”

This sentiment is echoed by students globally. “What we need is support for teachers,” adds Kate Cho, 16, from SJI International School in Singapore. “AI should spark deeper, more critical thinking—not replace it.”

Powered by DQ directly addresses these challenges. Building on the DQ Institute’s 15 years of experience developing digital literacy programs for international organizations, governments, and platforms, this new AI-enabled solution allows grassroots teachers, schools, and edtech companies to design their own AI literacy programs at an estimated 100 times the speed and 1% of the cost of traditional curriculum development.

“AI literacy is no longer an option; it is a must-have skill for all young people,” said Dr. Yuhyun Park, founder and CEO of the DQ Institute. “However, the education system cannot meet the speed of technological change. We launched the Powered by DQ platform to put the power directly into the hands of teachers and local education providers. Our focus is speed and accessibility, making it the fastest way to bring relevant, high-quality AI literacy to every learner.”

A Global First: AI Literacy Made Simple and Scalable

To empower educators effectively, Powered by DQ’s unique “UNITY + UBER + ETS” model combines three powerful features in one platform:

Teachers piloting the platform have already seen transformative results.I don’t know much about AI literacy, but I could easily teach about AI-generated fake news in my math class through using Powered by DQ,” said Mr. Marco Cruz, a math teacher in Los Angeles, USA. “It saved time and is relevant to my students while connecting to existing class subjects.”

The most groundbreaking feature of PbDQ is its micro-certification system, built on the IEEE 3527.1™ Digital Intelligence Standards. This system integrates more than 100 international AI and digital literacy frameworks, enabling teachers and institutions to develop classroom-ready materials aligned with local, national, and global standards and create seamless learning pathways from K–12 to the workforce.

Anchored in the values of safety, well-being, and ethics, PbDQ addresses the most urgent issues in global debates on children, technology, and society. Its design ensures true scalability, empowering local providers in any country to build AI literacy programs and frameworks that meet both community needs and international benchmarks.

“This is a breakthrough in Thailand. We launched our own national AI literacy certifications with Powered by DQ,” stated John Rattanaveroj, an education technology company involved in the Thai pilot program. “We easily aligned our national framework with international standards and are now in talks with local universities to accept our program certifications, similar to AP courses.”

As AI reshapes every sector, AI literacy is no longer optional—it is essential. By empowering educators directly, PbDQ offers the fastest, most scalable solution to bridge the critical skills gap and prepare students for the future.
