The #DQEveryChild initiative is also being implemented with The World Economic Forum’s ‘Internet for All’ initiative. Digital Intelligence is an important driver of effective internet use, so coupled with activities to expand connectivity it can be a key driver of internet inclusion.
The internet is a pervasive, fundamental part of daily life that continues to deliver massive economic and social benefits around the world. Yet some 3.9 billion people – more than 52% of the world’s population – are still not online.
Focusing on DQ has been identified as an impactful and effective method for improving digital citizenship by global platforms such as the World Economic Forum. The alliance includes national governments, world-leading NGOs and ICT companies who are committed to digital citizenship and digital literacy.
